Need to know before laying ORSilent®:

To install the insulation, ensure that the surface, such as walls or bulkheads, is dry, degreased, clean, and free from oxidation, such as rust. Apply the adhesive evenly over the entire surface to be bonded, covering every part. Avoid gluing the edges of the ORSilent® panels, but make sure they are properly fitted together. Position the surfaces to be bonded precisely from the start, as the adhesion is immediate and permanent, with no possibility of adjustments. To prevent sound bridges, separate the BA13 drywall panels from the perimeter by maintaining a 2-3 mm gap between the panels and the walls, ceiling, and floor. Once the insulation installation is complete, consisting of ORSilent® and a drywall panel, apply a light acrylic joint along the perimeter, filling the remaining gap.

Putting in place

Use ORSilent® adhesive, diluted with 3% synthetic solvent.
Mix the adhesive thoroughly before use to ensure even distribution.

Use a short-pile roller to spread the adhesive evenly.
Apply the adhesive to both the surface and one side of ORSilent®.
Wait between 10 and 30 minutes to allow the adhesive to partially dry.

Apply ORSilent® to the substrate or wall, ensuring good contact with the surface.

Also apply glue to the back of the gypsum board and to the visible surface of ORSilent®.
Wait again between 10 and 30 minutes before placing the drywall.

Indicative consumption is 0.25 liters per m².

Walls

Apply 1/4 liter of glue per m² to the wall and 1/4 liter per m² to ORSilent®.
Wait a few minutes, according to the glue instructions.
Apply ORSilent® to the wall, applying pressure over the entire surface until the glue secures the sheet.
Repeat with ORSilent® and the gypsum board.

Ceilings

Apply 1/4 quart of glue per sq. ft. to the wall and 1/4 quart per sq. ft. to ORSilent®.
Wait a few minutes, according to the glue instructions.
Apply ORSilent® to the wall, applying pressure over the entire surface until the glue secures the sheet.
Repeat with ORSilent® and the gypsum board sheet.

Grout or cover the gypsum board joints and proceed with painting.

For walls with grout, professional glue type D1, D5 or D20 is recommended.

Floors

ORSilent® with a density of 150 kg/m³ and a thickness of 20 mm.

Spread ORSilent® over the floor until it is completely covered.
Cut strips of ORSilent® to create a perimeter plinth along the walls.
Cover the floor with a 4-6 cm thick layer of cement.
Using a cutter, remove the excess perimeter plinth.
Complete with tile or floating parquet.

Floating parquet: You can apply floating parquet directly over ORSilent®.
We recommend inserting 0.5 cm slabs of DM or plywood between the parquet and ORSilent® to improve the stability of the floor.
